Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Last Updated: February 16, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of Automated Voice Infrastructure, messaging systems, and related services provided by Southern Colorado Business Solutions LLC ("Soco Biz"). Our goal is to ensure reliable, high-integrity communication for the Southern Colorado business community.
Zero Tolerance Policy: Soco Biz maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of our systems for unsolicited communications, fraudulent activities, or prohibited content.
1. Prohibited Content Categories (SHAFT)
Users are strictly prohibited from utilizing our Inbound Handling Systems or messaging infrastructure to transmit content related to the following "SHAFT" categories, as mandated by mobile carriers:
- S: Sexually Explicit Content
- H: Hate Speech or Discriminatory Language
- A: Alcohol (unless strict age-gating is verified)
- F: Firearms and Weapons
- T: Tobacco, Vaping, or Cannabis (CBD/THC)
2. Messaging and Voice Compliance
All Voice Operations and automated messaging must strictly adhere to TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) and CTIA guidelines:
- Prior Express Consent: You must obtain and document verifiable consent before initiating any automated communication. Verbal consent captured via our Voice Infrastructure must be stored and available for audit.
- Opt-Out Requirements: Every outbound message must include a clear opt-out mechanism (e.g., "Reply STOP to opt out").
- Record Retention: Proof of opt-in consent must be maintained for a minimum of four (4) years from the last date of contact.
3. Fraudulent and Deceptive Practices
Our infrastructure shall not be used for:
- Phishing, "Smishing," or any attempt to harvest sensitive data.
- Spoofing caller ID or impersonating government entities/other businesses.
- High-pressure sales tactics that target vulnerable populations in our region.
4. System Integrity
You may not attempt to bypass our carrier-grade safeguards, reverse-engineer our automated logic, or use our systems in a manner that degrades performance for other Southern Colorado businesses. This includes "blasting" high volumes of traffic without prior approval of your A2P registration.
5. Enforcement and Termination
Soco Biz reserves the sole right to determine whether a use case violates this AUP. We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:
- Suspend access to automated voice lines.
- Terminate accounts associated with carrier-reported spam.
- Cooperate with law enforcement if illegal activity is suspected.
